Mr. DeHaven is currently CEO/President of DEHAVEN CONSULTING GROUP, LLC, and a National Security Consulting firm in Potomac Falls, VA. Formerly, a member of the Defense Intelligence Senior Executive Service, Mr. DeHaven served forty+ years with the National Security Agency (NSA). Appointed as the first Director Space INFSOEC at that National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and led a team on the leading edge of the NSA mission providing cryptologic products and services to programs across the national security air and space systems portfolio. Through his vision he transformed space systems security from a stovepipe environment to one of information sharing and internet based capability. As a major architect for Space IA, Mr. DeHaven developed technologies to fuse diverse systems across the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DOD), NASA, and Civil agencies as well as operationalizing Commercial Systems to securely augment and complement national air and space missions. Mr. DeHaven was a founder and charter member of the National Space INFOSEC Steering Council (NSISC) and served as the Chairman of the Board for the past several years synchronizing merging mission capabilities and evolving synergy across a very diverse portfolio of systems. He has been a change agent and at the forefront of the design and development of disruptive high-speed systems security solutions to provide a seamless space-to-ground secure architecture to enable some of our nation’s most critical information systems to include the emerging cyber domain. Throughout his career, he has contributed to critical mission elements such as threat and vulnerability, INFOSEC/IA Resource Management, INFOSEC Assessments, Space Systems Program Management, and other assignments across the offensive and defensive landscapes of the national cryptologic mission. Recipient of numerous awards during his 40+ year career, Mr. DeHaven received the Distinguished Meritorious Civilian Service Award (DIRNSA) and the NRO Gold Medal (DNRO) in September 2011. A former member of the Defense Intelligence Senior Executive Service, Mr. DeHaven retired in September 2011 after serving forty+ years with the National Security Agency (NSA). Mr. DeHaven served as NSA’s Director Cryptologic Systems Office, F81. As such, he oversaw the NSA Space IA centers of excellence at the NRO, Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center, Air Force Electronic Systems Center Cryptologic Systems Group and Air Force Space Command. He led a team of Subject Matter Experts on the leading edge of the NSA mission providing cryptologic products and services as well as IA guidance and advice to programs across the national security air and space systems portfolio. Mr. DeHaven also served as the Chairman of the Board, National Space INFOSEC Steering Council (NSISC).

PRIOR POSITIONS: Throughout his career, Mr. DeHaven has served in a number of positions with NSA, to include Senior Threat Analyst, Chief INFOSEC Resource Management, Chief INFOSEC Assessments, Space Program Management, and other various assignments on the offensive and defensive sides of the national cryptologic mission.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND: Certified as a Communications Security Officer and an Information Systems Security Expert through NSA. Recipient Distinguished Meritorious Civilian Service Award (DIRNSA) and NRO Gold Medal (DNRO), September 2011. TS/SCI SSBI (June 2011) and Polygraph (30 August 2011).
PERSONAL: Mr. DeHaven is married to his wife of 41 years, Patrice. They have two children, Justin (lives in Redondo Beach, CA) and Nicole. They reside in Potomac Falls, VA.
